Incident Report for SPARC Media Hub

At 12:48pm EST, SPARC Media Hub team received reports of elevated errors within the Platform. The team immediately began to investigate the issue, as well as updating customers using SPARC's status page. The team could not update the status page as the third party platform was experiencing an outage themselves.

The team began work on investigating the reason for the outage. At approximately 1:25pm, the team identified the main issue to be the integration between SPARC and the status page. The purpose of the integration was to display information related to the outages of the platform, directly on the platform. This is to update customers on degraded services, or partial platform outages.

As our status page was experiencing an outage, it caused the integration to "hang" and eventually display errors. The team quickly rolled out a patch to remove the integration and all services were restored immediately.

We've since upgraded our Status Page to a more reliable service, and eliminated the previous integration.
